i took this photo on the north california coast in august 2021. it was the only place i could go to escape the intense wildfire smoke that’s smothered Reno for two months straight. we packed up the truck and headed west until there was no smoke… turns out the only place there was no smoke was the end of the continent. it was incredibly refreshing to get outside and especially on a clear night like this.
