Temple of Hathor at Dendera

The temple of Hathor is one of the best preserved temples in all of Egypt. An hour north of the ancient city of Thebes (modern day Luxor) is the temple complex with its beautiful astronomical themes. The stunning blue paint still shines bright thousands of years later. Despite much of the temple being damaged by vandals over the years the hieroglyphs and pillars of this ancient temple still make the road trip very much worthwhile.
