The space cowboy series of self portraits was inspired by my first trips out west to chase the milky way. Despite being passionate about astronomy my whole life, these trips really strengthened my bond with the night sky. I learned a lot about myself during these early days of my photography career and without the inspiration of the American West I have no idea where I’d be today.
