My “Snapshots” series are a collection of 35mm film scans from all over the world. Sold as 2 and 3 packs of matched prints to capture the essence of the beautiful places I visit. Uzbekistan was a truly special place to photograph for my Islamic Art project. The Timurid era architecture is intricate and unique in its design. The iconic blue domes of Central Asia originate here and the impressive tilework carries on from other Islamic art traditions such as the Moors of northern Africa. These photos specifically are from the Registan of Samarkand and the old walled city of Khiva.
