Good Photo, Bad lands.

from $70.00

Shooting in the Bisti Badlands in the Navajo Nation was a dream come true. I’d been wanting to come out here since I moved out west! The drive to New Mexico is one of the most scenic in the country and follows the historic Route 66 eastward until you enter the Native American reservation of the Diné peoples (or Navajo!). These lands are home to some of the most unique geological formations on the continent and is just incredibly photogenic. I only had a night to shoot here but am thrilled with what I came away with.

The colors in this photo are very unique because I shot it on my astro modified camera which captures a little bit more than the normal visual spectrum of light. So I’m shooting into the infrared and ultraviolet just a little bit with this camera (helps me get better night sky shots) which gives such a cool vibe to the image!
